About the role
Kinneir Dufort (KD) is a world-class user-centred innovation and product development consultancy, specializing in the medical and consumer health sectors. As part of the SteriPack Group, we collaborate globally with contract manufacturing facilities in Europe, the USA, and Asia, alongside additional design and product development teams in New Jersey and Colorado.
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our talented team and contribute to delivering exceptional solutions for our clients.
About you
You are a Mechanical Engineer working in consultancy, industry or at a start-up, or a recent graduate with an Engineering degree. Regardless of your experience level, you are an analytical thinker with a passion for understanding how products work and understanding the needs of the user. You will bring your own skills to add depth to our team, so you’ll need to be a team player who thrives on collaborating with others across different skillsets including software, electronics and design.

Whilst you do not need to meet all of these points, please ensure you meet the majority of them before making an application.
You will have the following required experience:
· A mechanical engineering degree.
· A desire to fix problems using your engineering knowledge and intuition.
· An ability to take theoretical knowledge and apply it to real world engineering problems.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
· The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team to achieve objectives.
You may have the following desirable experience:
· A keen focus on the use of engineering principles and analysis techniques with experience in design of electromechanical systems, data acquisition, processing and analysis.
· Design from concept through to manufacture of mechanical systems and products.
· Experience in risk management process to ISO14971 and use of FMEA and Fault Tree.
· Understanding and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
· Client relationship management (ideally consultancy experience).
Please note our starting salary for graduates is £28,000 and our salary banding for this role (depending on experience) is between £28,000 to £40,800. We ask you to indicate your desired salary as part of your application.
